Practising with landscape: between inside and outside | Fiona Harrisson | Friday 31/1 | Welcome!

Fiona Harrisson
Close and careful attention to landscape and what is already there on-site has been a preoccupation in my design practice. As my understanding of landscape has shifted over time, it has informed my approach to working with landscape from an emphasis on outcome to process. I invite you into this circuitous journey through the lens of ‘inside and outside’ and how undertaking a practice-based PhD has informed practice.
Fiona Harrisson is a senior lecturer at RMIT University in Melbourne. She completed the ‘Metropolis’ Master program at Universitat de Politecnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, practices as a landscape architect and is also a teacher, gardener, maker and mover, a combination of which informs her practice-based PhD.
