Congratulations!

We congratulate our master's student Josefine Angvald Westesson on sharing first prize in The sustainable garden city ideas competition arranged by TMF. Shared with Stella Elsner from KTH.

1st place (shared) - Tegs Garden City | Josefine Angvald Westesson (Lund University)

Motivation: Tegs Garden City is an ambitious and well-structured contribution that tackles a complex urban situation with a deep understanding of both context and potential.

By using the principles of the garden city as a healing approach, the project proposes a development that connects a fragmented neighbourhood and creates a more coherent fabric between existing peripheral buildings, streams and traffic routes.

Comment from the winner: Before the competition, I had an idea of what a garden city is, but now I understand that it is a method. It is exciting to think about how it can be used in today's urban planning.
