[Lund University ranked best in the world in Sustainability]

Lund University has been ranked the best in the world in sustainability in the QS World University Rankings.  The university was compared to 2000 other higher education institutions with respect to research, teaching and operations. 

The Department of Architecture and the Built Environment contributes to the university’s sustainability agenda through our work in the classroom, our activities in research projects, and our engagements with society. Already in 2007, the Department pioneered global engagement in sustainability when founding the international master’s program Sustainable Urban Design (SUDes). Today, multiple teaching and research activities break new grounds in sustainability discourse. From selecting building materials and designing more vibrant streetscapes to championing cultural values and optimizing human experience, we continually strive to find new and innovative ways to align environmental, social, and economic goals.

We look forward to continuing the sustainability journey with our Lund University colleagues in the coming decades!
